Spooky season is in session! Gather all your best witches and ghosts and get ready for some scary fun around Pine Island Academy.
One festivity sure to fright you is Trunk or Treat on October 20, at 5:30-7:30 at the PIA Bus Loop Lot. There will be many fun activities including more than 60 trunks filled with delicious treats, a performance by our very own dance and cheer team, photo opts with Finn, a DJ, Food Trucks and more! Costumes are encouraged and don’t forget your trick or treating bag to hold all your yummy treats. Make sure to stop on by and cast your vote for the spookiest, creepiest, most festive trunk!
“I can’t wait to perform and see all the trunks filled with decorations!” Ella Vilicka, PIA dancer exclaims. “It’s going to be so much fun!”
Another popular Halloween tradition is dressing up in a costume! Halloween is the one night of the year when you can be someone different then yourselves. You can be a scary monster or a cute little bunny. Whatever makes you happy! Here at PIA, eighth grade student Brianna Rihlmann is excited to dress up for this upcoming Halloween.
“I am going to be Theodore, one of the chipmunks in the iconic Alvin, Simon, Theodore trio,” Rihlmann says. “I am going with my friends and I am so excited!”
If you are looking for something a bit more frightening, check out Nocatee’s Family Halloween Party complete with a Haunted House on October 27 and 28. Full of clowns, zombies, creepy dolls and more, this house is scary fun for the whole family.
“I’m excited to check it out this year because last year I didn’t have the chance to go,” explains Maddie Manucy, seventh grader at PIA. “It’s going to be so much fun with my friends we are all very excited.”
All spookiness aside, Halloween is great because you can spend time doing your favorite Halloween traditions with your loved ones.
“I love to spend time with favorite people watching a scary movie!” Hadley Anderson, eighth grade PIA student says. “It’s the best!”
