{"id":274,"date":"2023-10-09T17:31:39","date_gmt":"2023-10-09T21:31:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www-pia.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/newspaper\/?p=274"},"modified":"2023-10-09T17:34:13","modified_gmt":"2023-10-09T21:34:13","slug":"boys-volleyball-interview-with-pentz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www-pia.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/newspaper\/boys-volleyball-interview-with-pentz\/","title":{"rendered":"Boys Volleyball Interview with Pentz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>by Gabriel Nochera<\/p>\n<p>An interview with Lincoln Pentz, a member of the boys&#8217; volleyball team, answered some questions about the boys\u2019 volleyball team.<\/p>\n<p>When Pentz was asked about the team\u2019s game plan, he responded with, \u201cServing aggressively and mastering the fundamentals.\u201d Pentz is new to playing volleyball on the team and his team needs to focus on the basics.<\/p>\n<p>Pentz believes \u201csome other teams have very powerful spiking ability\u201d, he adds \u201csince they have more height.\u201d He also remarked, \u201cWe could be better if we communicate better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of the more seasoned players on the team is Hudson Pennell. \u201cI think Hudson is the mvp |;| he\u2019s very skilled at volleyball\u201d; \u201che knows what\u2019s to do in every situation\u201d, Pentz said.<\/p>\n<p>I asked him why he joined the volleyball team; he exclaimed, \u201cI think people should join because it\u2019s a very fun sport and it\u2019s not that tiring.\u201d He also added, \u201cWe are going to continue to develop and further the greatness of our gameplay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A personal improvement Lincoln Pentz mentioned was \u201cnow I have lots more skills and can hit the ball soft and high.\u201d His team also has been improving, \u201cwe have very good setting |;| it\u2019s always straight up\u201d Pentz highlighted.<\/p>\n<p>To come out and support Lincoln Pentz and his teammates; Pentz shared his upcoming game schedule, which includes games on 3 and 5 of October here at Pine Island Academy.
